FREE slide talk at the University of Washington 3D4M department, Friday, October 22, 6-8pm
Saturday and Sunday, 10am-4pm at Seward Park Clay Studio. Bring lunch and a notebook, and your tools. We’ll provide clay and a model. $150
This two day, hands-on workshop will concentrate on understanding the fundamentals of naturalistic modeling of the human form in clay. Studying the live model, students will concentrate on making a one fourth scale seated figure. Through the process of informed observation, demonstrations, and slide lecture, we will learn to sculpt the figure using poses from life and a basic knowledge of human anatomy. All levels welcome. Technical questions will also be explored.
