Liz Garrett has lived in a number of places that all have had a significant influence on her.  She lived in New England, New Mexico, Malaysia and for the last 20+ years, in the Pacific Northwest.  In the early 80’s she came back to the US after three years in Southeast Asia serving in the Peace Corps and needed something to do to ease the transition.  She took her first clay class in her late 20’s at the University of New Mexico, and has been hooked on clay and making pots ever since.  She loves making functional pottery that is both attractive and comforting to use in everyday life.
